What is a Pneumatic Actuator Wafer Type Butterfly Valve?

A butterfly valve is used to control the flow of liquids or gases such as water, air, or gas. It consists of a disc that rotates around an axis. When the disc is open, it allows flow; when closed, it restricts or stops the flow. Thanks to this simple mechanism, butterfly valves are widely used in industrial systems where large-diameter pipelines are involved.

These valves are commonly used in water and non-corrosive fluid applications, especially in narrow installation areas. They are wafer and lug type valves installed between two flanges and operated by compressed air via a pneumatic actuator.
