Solenoid Control Valve

A solenoid control valve is a type of hydraulic control valve that performs opening and closing functions automatically and remotely by using electrical energy. The solenoid control valve is operated by a control device capable of sending electrical signals, such as PLC control units or time relays.

Features of Solenoid Control Valve

• The solenoid valves used on the control valve can be 3/2-way or 2/2-way, depending on the application.
• Solenoid control valves can be selected as normally closed (N.C.) or normally open (N.O.), according to requirements.
• The standard voltage value of solenoid control valves is 24 Volt AC. However, by using 9 Volt DC latching or 12 Volt DC coils, it is possible to achieve control at different voltage levels.
• By mounting additional pilot valves that provide pressure, flow, or level control, the valve can be used in various other applications.

Operating Instructions for Solenoid Control Valve

• Install the valve according to the flow direction arrow indicated on the body.
• To facilitate maintenance, it is recommended to install isolation valves (such as gate, butterfly, or ball valves) on the inlet side to shut off the line water.
• To ensure efficient operation, it is recommended to install an air release valve before the solenoid control valve.
• In winter, to protect the valve from freezing, discharge the water in the actuator to the atmosphere.
• After mounting the main valve on the network, connect the electrical wiring of the solenoid valve to the control device to be used.
• Select the cable cross-section between the control device and the solenoid valve according to the electrical characteristics of the solenoid valve and the cable length.
• The voltage value of the control device must be the same as that of the solenoid valve.
• To manually open or close the valve, set the ball valve indicated by number 4 to the desired position.
• Clean the filter indicated by number 5 according to the degree of water contamination.
