Unox Relief (Pressure Relief) Control Valve
Relief Pressure Control Valve
A Relief Pressure Control Valve (also called a quick pressure relief valve) is used to relieve the system by discharging excess pressure when the pressure in the system exceeds a certain limit value. When the system pressure drops back to the preset limit value, the valve closes again. The pressure setting of the relief valve is adjusted via a pilot valve, and the set value of the pilot valve is not affected by the back pressure at the outlet.
Features of Relief Pressure Control Valve
-
The valve quickly discharges excess pressure in the network to the atmosphere, thereby protecting the pipeline system and other fittings.
-
Relief control valves maintain constant system pressure, independent of flow rate changes.
-
The control mechanism of the relief pilot valve opens rapidly when the system flow decreases to keep the system pressure constant. When the system pressure drops to the preset level, the valve closes smoothly without causing water hammer.
-
The valve opens quickly for discharge and then closes slowly and tightly, preventing any pressure fluctuation in the network.
-
The valve operates fully hydraulically with line pressure and does not require any external power source.
-
Due to its globe-type design, maintenance is easy and cost-effective.
-
The valve operates safely in both horizontal and vertical installations.
-
Relief control valves are installed to the system in a TEE configuration.
