Unox Reflex Glass Level Gauge
What is a Reflex Glass Level Gauge?
A Reflex Glass Level Gauge operates based on the principle that light refracts differently in liquid and gas phases, causing water and steam to appear with different brightness on the reflex glass. The liquid appears dark due to the absorption of light, while the steam appears bright because of the reflection of light. In this type of level gauge, the interface between two liquids cannot be observed due to the nature of the product. It consists of a transparent tube or pipe made of glass or acrylic, mounted vertically on the side of the container. The liquid level is indicated by the position of the liquid inside the tube, which can be seen through the transparent material.
Where are Reflex Glass Level Gauges Used?
Reflex glass level gauges are commonly used in various applications such as industrial processes, chemical storage, and water treatment. They are preferred over other level gauges because they provide a clear, accurate, and easy-to-read indication of liquid level. Additionally, they require relatively low maintenance and can be used under a wide range of temperature and pressure conditions.
Reflex glass level gauges are usually calibrated to indicate the liquid level in a tank in terms of volume or weight. They can be used for continuous level monitoring or to trigger an alarm or shut down the system if the level falls outside a predefined range.
