What is a Pneumatic Piston Control Valve?
Pneumatic piston valves are a type of valve that uses compressed air or other gases to actuate a piston or diaphragm which opens or closes the valve. These valves are widely used in industrial and manufacturing applications to control the flow of liquids, gases, and other materials. Depending on the number of ports, they can be two-way or three-way valves. Two-way valves have two ports, while three-way valves have three ports. The connection points are used to connect the valve to pipes or other equipment in the system.

Operating Principle of Pneumatic Piston Control Valves
The valve remains closed (or open) in its normal state by spring force. When the piston is actuated by compressed air, the valve opens (or closes). In double-acting types, the valve is open by default, and compressed air is used to close it.
Pneumatic piston valves are Y-type valves made of a 316 stainless steel body with a 304 stainless steel actuator for pneumatic control. They are manufactured as single-acting and normally closed types. Standard threaded manufacturing uses BSP threads.
