What is a Level Control Valve?

Float level control valves are hydraulic control valves used to regulate the water level in water storage structures such as water tanks, reservoirs, pressure-reducing basins, and similar facilities located along transmission lines. For the main valve to open and close properly, a minimum water pressure of 7 meters in the existing network is required.

Solenoid control valves are hydraulic control valves that perform the opening and closing function remotely and automatically using electrical energy.

The control of solenoid valves is achieved through a control device capable of sending an electrical signal, PLC control units, or time relays.

Features of Electric Float Level Control Valve

• The structure of the float level control valve is very simple, providing a significant advantage for the user.

• The valve’s electric float is modular and can be easily mounted to the structure where level control is needed.

• Thanks to the electric float, the level control range can be easily adjusted to the desired measurements.

• A simple control device is located between the main valve and the electric float.

• The main valve has a ball valve, allowing manual control of the opening and closing function.

• The valve operates fully hydraulically using line pressure without requiring additional energy.

Instructions for Using the Level Control Valve

• Install the valve according to the flow direction indicated by the arrow on the valve body.

• For easier service and maintenance, it is recommended to install isolation valves (gate, butterfly, ball valves, etc.) upstream of the valve to stop water flow in the line.

• To ensure efficient operation, it is recommended to install an air vent before the valve.

• Securely mount the electric float of the Electric Float Level Control Valve to the tank.

• Connect the solenoid valve on the main valve to the control device according to the voltage of the electric float.

• If properly connected to the control unit, the valve will operate automatically.

• Control valves perform opening and closing functions using system pressure. If the system pressure is near zero during tank filling, the valve will not operate. Check the inlet pressure of the valve.

• To operate the valve manually, use the discharge ball valve indicated as number 3. If the valve will operate automatically, the ball valve must remain closed.

• During winter, to prevent freezing, drain water from the valve actuator to the atmosphere.
