What is a Stainless Steel Compressor High-Pressure Solenoid Valve?

A compressor is a machine used to compress air or other gases. A high-pressure solenoid valve is a type of electromagnetic valve that regulates the flow of air or other gases in a controllable manner. This valve allows air or gas to pass under high pressure during the operation of the compressor.

Where is a Stainless Steel High-Pressure Solenoid Valve Used?

Stainless steel high-pressure solenoid valves are used whenever air or other gases need to pass under high pressure. For example, they can be found in air compressors and systems used to pressurize air or gas. They can also prevent the pressure of air or gas from dropping below a certain level.

Solenoid valves are manufactured in two types: normally closed (the valve opens when the coil is energized) and normally open (the valve closes when the coil is energized).

Normally Closed Operation System

A normally closed solenoid valve initially blocks the flow of the fluid. When the coil receives electric current, it activates, pulling the core upward and opening the orifice. This allows the high-pressure fluid to rapidly flow through the bypass hole. As the fluid moves, the internal pressure drops quickly, creating a pressure difference. This difference overcomes the diaphragm spring force, lifting it upward and allowing fluid to pass, so the valve reaches the open position. All of this happens in a very short time. Our product is designed for optimal efficiency.

General Features

  • Seal: Viton

  • Sleeve: Stainless Steel

  • Body: AISI 316 Stainless Steel

  • Core: Stainless Steel

  • Temperature: -10 / +150 °C

  • Coil: Socket Type

Recommendations

  • Install the solenoid valve with the coil positioned on top.

  • Use filters such as strainers before the solenoid valve in the system.

  • For high-temperature applications, more durable diaphragm and seal materials are used. Specify if you need high-temperature diaphragm and seals when ordering.

Considerations When Selecting a Solenoid Valve

  • The coil must be selected according to the operating voltage (AC-DC). Ensure proper protection and insulation according to the installation site. (When electricity is applied, the valve opens; when electricity is cut, it returns to the closed position.)

  • The minimum and maximum pressure values of the line or system are critical in valve selection.

  • The type and temperature of the fluid directly affect the choice of valve.

  • Ensure the flow direction matches the arrow on the valve body during installation.

  • Since the solenoid valve does not function as a check valve, fluid can flow backward under reverse pressure. In such cases, a check valve should be installed after the solenoid valve.

  • The line in which the valve is installed must be free from debris.
