Single Acting Pneumatic Actuated U-PVC Butterfly Valve
What is a Pneumatic Actuated U-PVC Butterfly Valve?
A pneumatic actuated U-PVC (Unplasticized Polyvinyl Chloride) butterfly valve is a type of valve made from PVC material and controlled by compressed air. It contains a disc-shaped closure element that rotates within the valve body to start or stop the flow of liquid through the pipeline.
In these valves, the disc is connected to a stem that extends outside the valve body. When air pressure is applied to the actuator, the disc rotates, opening or closing the valve. The U-PVC material is commonly used because of its excellent corrosion resistance, lightweight structure, and cost-effectiveness compared to metal valves.
Where Are Pneumatic Actuated U-PVC Butterfly Valves Used?
-
Water Treatment Plants:
Used to control water flow during filtration, disinfection, and other purification stages. -
Chemical Processing Plants:
Ideal for systems where corrosive or aggressive chemicals are present, as U-PVC is resistant to many acids and bases. -
Food and Beverage Industry:
Controls the flow of air, steam, or liquid in sanitary process lines. -
HVAC Systems:
Used to regulate airflow through ducts and ventilation lines. -
Agricultural Irrigation Systems:
Controls water flow to fields and crops efficiently. -
Plumbing Systems:
Directs water flow through pipes, fittings, and manifolds. -
Other Industrial Applications:
Found in oil and gas production, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and power plants where lightweight, corrosion-resistant valves are required.
General Characteristics of Polyethylene and U-PVC Materials:
